The Moncton YMCA Aquatics Study is a two-phase assessment led by Architecture49 with Nustadia Recreation serving as the operational and business consultant, alongside WSP, Strum, and Acadia Construction. The study evaluates the feasibility of expanding the YMCA North End facility to include a modern, fully integrated aquatic complex. Through comprehensive design, operational, and financial analysis, the project confirms that the North End YMCA is strategically positioned to deliver expanded aquatic services efficiently through a shared partnership with the City of Moncton. The proposed 4-lane lap pool, therapy pool, and inclusive changeroom design advance community accessibility, fiscal sustainability, and wellness outcomes—demonstrating national leadership in collaborative recreation infrastructure planning.
