The Spirit River Regional Recreation Strategy, led by the Town of Spirit River in partnership with the Municipal District of Spirit River No. 133, establishes a regional framework for shared recreation planning, governance, and facility management under the Alberta Community Partnership (ACP) program. Nustadia Recreation Inc. serves as the lead operational and business consultant, developing a comprehensive feasibility study, governance model, and three-year implementation roadmap to guide regional collaboration and long-term infrastructure investment. Complementing this initiative, Nustadia has been retained through a Transitional Management Agreement to provide interim operational leadership for key facilities—including the MacLean Arena, Curling Rink, Centennial Hall, and Central Peace Aquatic Centre—ensuring consistent service delivery, staff training, and capacity building during the regional transition.
