Garfield Ganong, P.Eng.Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer of Nustadia Recreation Inc.Mr. Ganong is Vice President of Nustadia (part of the Cochrane Group) and he was Vice President - Alberta of Cochrane Engineering since 1984. Prior to that, he was a Branch Manager of the Regina office in Saskatchewan and Vice President of Cochrane Engineering Alberta Operations. Mr. Ganong is a past Director of the Calgary West Rotary Club, and is a past Director of the Regina Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada, was chairman of the Canadian Civil Engineering Society National Conference, and is a Fellow of the CSCE. Mr. Ganong was Development Manager for the Tim Hortons 4 Ice Centre in Moncton, N.B; a finance, develop, design, build and operate partnership with the City of Moncton and Moncton 4-Ice Sports Inc., (a not for profit company created by Nustadia and the City). Recently the City of Hamilton approved a Community Partnership between the City and the Nustadia partnership to develop, design, build and operate the Mohawk Sports Park 4-Pad Arena. Mr. Ganong acted as the development manager. His specific duties included preparation of the draft legal agreements between the partners as well as the agreements within the Nustadia team. He was responsible for the capital and operating budgets, project pro-forma, tracked actual financial performance and was responsible for measures to improve development and operating results. He has been responsible for specifying and purchasing the furniture, fixtures and equipment, hiring of personnel, was the primary corporate contact for operational and leasehold service support. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. |
